Colleton Manor & the wider estate hamlet is soaked in history. There was a dwelling recorded here in one of the world’s earliest known censuses - The Doomesday Book of 1086, likely to have been the room pictured above. On the right you can see this room featured in one of the earliest editions of Country Life Magazine from 1915, while above on the left you can glimpse how this beautiful hall looks today.
